Tulum cheese is a traditional Turkish cheese, made from goat’s milk. The cheese is ripened in a goatskin casing, which is called Tulum. It’s commonly served with walnuts and hot lavash in restaurants.
How to Prepare the Salad?
Preparing the Salad with Tulum Cheese and Walnuts is very easy. Firstly, you should wash the lettuce and rocket leaves well with cold water. Warm water will cause them to lose their freshness. After you wash the leaves, dry them with a vegetables dryer. If you do not have one, you can also pat them dry with paper towel.
Next step is chopping the leaves. Here, you are free to cut them into any size you want. You can make them thin and long, or large and short. When you are done with chopping, place the leaves in a large bowl. Slice the cucumber into long, thin pieces and place them around the bowl.
To prepare the dressing, get a small bowl. Squeeze half of lemon and add it into this bowl. Add olive oil and salt. Mix them well. You can use any seasonings you want. You can even add fresh dill into the dressing. After you prepare the dressing, pour it over the salad and stir the salad well.
Keep up with crashing the walnuts and chopping the Tulum cheese into small pieces. Distribute the Tulum cheese, crashed walnuts and dried grapes over the salad equally.
And here it is! Your fresh, healthy, and satisfying salad with high content of protein and fat is ready! This recipe will also make you love the goat’s milk cheese, we believe. Until next time, keep coloring your plates folks!
